LAMBRUSCO-CECI: AN INDISSOLUBLE PARTNERSHIP
When talking about lambrusco, it is impossible not to mention Ceci, a historic winery that since 1938 has become the reference point for the production of this wine, giving it the luster and enhancement it deserves! Not only substance but also form, in fact in almost a century of life the winery has been able to renew itself by focusing attention not only on the wine but also on the container: an example is this bottle, marvelous and perfectly recognizable, as marvelous is the liquid it contains, considered by the winery itself the masterpiece of Cantine Ceci, which has been able to raise the type from the rank of humble table drink to a true cult product.

Bright purple-red in color with purplish mousse, it offers a full spectrum of varietal aromas on the nose, from pomegranate to rose, violet to berries, with hints in the background of herbs, cloves and cinnamon. The taste is creamy, fruity and just the right amount of flavor, incredibly easy drinking.

Excellent with tortellini and bollito misto, it is perfect for aperitifs, with pasta with meat sauce but also with bread and mortadella!

The Winery

Founded in 1938 by Otello, a famous innkeeper in the lower province of Parma, Cantine Ceci is now an undisputed benchmark of quality Lambrusco. It all began in his small trattoria, when he noticed that his customers appreciated so much, in addition to his traditional cured meats, the Lambrusco that he produced together with his sons, Giovanni and Bruno, and then destined the wine for the mescita. A habit that, season after season, vintage after vintage, soon turned into the main family business, driven by a genuine love for grapes, for wine, for those seething vats, inspiring the goals to be pursued. Although decades have passed, the winery today remains in the hands of Otello's children and grandchildren. Beginning in the 1990s, the family gave a modern and innovative imprint to production, dedicating to the memory of their grandfather some of the territory's most popular products such as Lambrusco Terre Verdiane and the legendary Otello Nero di Lambrusco. The latter, in particular, was the first Lambrusco to obtain the recognition of 5 bunches in the ranking of the renowned guide Bibenda. All this is thanks to the 'intelligence and a forward-looking vision of the new generations that run the company, capable not only of raising the quality level of the product, but also of conveying its image through the shape of the bottle, captivating and perfectly recognizable, attracting the appreciation of critics and the enthusiasm of consumers all over the world towards a type that goes from the rank of humble table drink, to a real cult wine. Today the winery also produces other wines from the Emilian tradition, always declined in terms of elegance, pleasantness and modernity, with more than two million bottles produced each year, a huge quantity that, however, always remains linked to the philosophy of the past, without ever distorting the ancient customs of the territory.
