When in 1968 Bernard de Nonacourt decided to introduce this particular Cuvée Rosé to the market, he thought that in order to enhance it he should also change the type of bottle that contained it. No longer the classic champagnette now too recognizable, but a more graceful bottle, characterized by almost feminine curves. Pink is the label, Pink is the very elegant case containing the bottle, Pink is the color that Pinot Noir gives to this excellent champagne.
It catches the eye with a brilliant gold-pink turning to salmon, with a very fine and persistent perlage, opens on notes of wild strawberries, currants, black cherries, followed by herbs and flint, pan-brioche and acacia honey. On the sip the freshness is surprising, almost sharp, the fruitiness returns dominant. Closes very long.
A versatile Champagne, it pairs perfectly with the whole meal; perfect with some smoked salmon and crudo shellfish.
