Why it’s so delicious?

The cured meats are produced exclusively for by a butcher shop in the small town of Pomarico, land of farmers and butchers, 10 km from the city of Matera. They are produced without the use of chemicals, making them high-quality sausages, zero coloring, zero preservatives, no gluten, just pork raised in Basilicata, salt and bell pepper powder.

From an old method of preservation, the lightly seasoned Lucana sausage is placed in boccacci with only extra virgin olive oil. The pork, exclusively from Lucania, tends to be lean and is preserved after about 20 days of seasoning so that the oil completes its firmness and flavor.

As soon as it is ready, the sausage is stripped of excess oil and ready to cut at the point of a knife. You will see that the meat will be very tender and flavorful, and the taste of our extra virgin oil gives an extra touch of flavor. Wonderful to enjoy on a slice of fresh bread or as an appetizer or side dish.
