Why it’s so delicious?
A small town in the Calabrian hinterland, Cerchiara has about 2,000 inhabitants and 12 bakeries to prove that their strength and recognition over the years has definitely been making one of the major consumer products known on our tables. Why do they know how to make bread? Because they start with the selected raw material, unrefined semolina, stone ground and baked in wood-fired ovens as in the old days.
Frese or crostini as you want to call them are thin sheets of dried bread that can be used alone in place of bread or with a bit of tomato and extra virgin olive oil.
The fact that the cutters are thin also makes them easier to eat. We have selected three variants: white, whole wheat and cereal
