SCINTILLANTE
Talamonti a fine business located in the heart of the most traditional Abruzzo wine-growing area, the daughter of a group of partners who have realised a design aimed at expressing the typicality of the area's grapes using the most modern technologies. The Cerasuolo Rosé, from 100% Montepulciano grapes harvested by hand, is the result of a 24-hour maceration in contact with the skins to obtain the maximum extraction of aromas and colour; a wine of scintillating goodness, soft but at the same time snappy, fully in line with the temperament of the vine, exquisite to drink in the current vintage, where it is already ready, but excellent for the following 2-3 years (if you can resist!).

Brilliant, crystal-clear cherry colour, the nose shows off cherry and berries, delicate floral hints of peony and slightly spicy notes of cinnamon. The taste is distinctly fresh, well balanced by savouriness and beautiful in the floral hints that take a long, aromatic persistence by the hand.

Ideal with cold salads and marinated white meats, try it with crostini with prosciutto crudo and stracchino cheese.

The Winery

Tenuta Talamonti was established in 2001 and covers 45 hectares in the municipality of Loreto Aprutino, on gentle hills at the foot of the Gran Sasso, the southernmost glacier in Europe and the highest point in central Italy.

It is a family-run business, where a sense of belonging to the rural heritage of the region and a sincere passion for wine are intrinsic.

The ambition of the Di Tonno-Redmont property is to make it the colour, scent and taste of the naturalistic riches of an entire territory, enhancing the uniqueness of its indigenous varietals: the indigenous cultivation of Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo has been accompanied, since 2004, by the experimental breeding of Pecorino vines.

Sustainability has always been the basis of the company's culture: all the vineyards are SQNPI (Sistema di Qualità Nazionale e Produzione Integrata - National Quality System and Integrated Production) certified, a production method that combines good agronomic practices with a sustainable use of fertilisers and plant protection products, so as to guarantee the cost-effectiveness of farming practices and at the same time a low environmental impact.

Since 2015, the family has also chosen to draw energy exclusively from its own wind farms and solar panels to generate 100% of the power needed to run the winery and bottling operations.

Loreto Aprutino is a place of rare beauty and a land of firsts: in addition to encompassing a cluster of excellent wine producers, it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy; it is also the municipality with the highest density of olive groves and the first PDO in the boot, as well as the recent Slow Food Presidium with the Tondino del Tavo bean.
