Why it’s so delicious?

THE IPA ACCORDING TO UMBRIA!
Water, barley malt, fructose, hops and yeast are the ingredients of this IPA, acronym of Italian Pale Ale yet another challenge won by Mastri Birrai Umbri, a success also recognised by the International Beer Challenge with a bronze medal. Produced following the traditional English recipe, with the use of the best malts both amber and light, yeast suitable for high fermentation and very aromatic hops, this IPA is perfect for those who love strong flavours!

Intense amber in colour with a slightly cloudy appearance, due to the lack of filtration, it has a white, creamy and very persistent foam. On the nose it expresses typical intense hop aromas, with nuances of pine and resin, hints of citrus peel and toasted pine nuts, while on the palate it reveals a body whose protagonist is the bittering note, very present but not aggressive, well balanced by the sweetness of the malt. The finish is long, decidedly dry, recalling soft fruity apricot notes.

It goes well with grilled fish and meat, even spicy dishes, and moderately mature cheeses.

The Farchioni family has been involved in the direct processing of agricultural products for more than seven generations, but since 2009, after oil, wine and flour, beer has arrived in the production cycle. This is how Marco Farchioni, after years of wandering around Europe and the significant experience gained in Germany, realised his dream of creating his own craft beer, which travels under the brand name 'Mastri Birrai Umbri'. But the real adventure began in 2011, with the opening of the brewery with malthouse, for a beer production that today stands at 25 thousand hectolitres per year. Be careful not to call it an industry, however, because it is a reality that has maintained very close ties with the Umbrian territory. A production chain, therefore, that is entirely local, with beer that starts in the field and arrives at the bottle without interruption. The raw material involves the use of special malts, highly selected and 100% Umbrian wheat and pulses. The process of high fermentation and re-fermentation in the bottle enhance the aroma and taste of the final product, while non-filtration and pasteurisation guarantee its authenticity. The range includes two reference lines, 'Cotta' and 'Cotta Speciale', in the latter case with particularly complex beers, enclosed in packaging of immediate visual impact, specially chosen and created to taste the best of the Umbrian Master Brewers' tradition.
