Fabbrica della Pasta's Pacchero Rigatello Pasta di Gragnano IGP, made from short chain Italian wheat, is a short pasta format very similar to the classic paccheri rigati but with more pronounced grooves that help it better absorb dense, full-bodied sauces and dressings. Paccheri originated from a very special anecdote all Gragnanese. In the late 1800s, children were devoted to collecting minuzzaglia (remnants of pasta that fell during drying in the street). Sometimes it happened that someone tried to keep this Waste Pasta for themselves and the factory owner, realizing what had happened, punished them by giving them a resounding slap in the face, which in Neapolitan dialect is referred to as "pacchero."
