Produced not using the Solera Method, but rather following the Small Batch philosophy (aging in small batches as the great art of distilling dictates), this Ron is a limited edition of only 30,000 bottles inspired by the Panamanian legend of Ramon Desiderio and Sierva Maria, protagonists of a tormented love story! More than just a rum, Desiderio is the story of the places you've never lived, the people you've never met, a story that is born out of love, dies of passion and is passed down with honor.
Dark amber in color and transparent, it has rich bronzy highlights. The nose envelops with roasted notes of coffee beans, tobacco and leather, sweeter hints of caramel and dates with darker puffs of rhubarb and tamarind. Full-bodied, enveloping, warm and smooth sip, presents all the lingering returns of the nose and leaves a long, slightly bitter, smoky trail.
Perfect in meditation with a good Cuban cigar, it enhances any soft drink in mixology!
