Why it’s so delicious?
Martorana fruit is a Sicilian sweet, prepared with almond paste, considered a work of art of Sicilian pastry making. It is said that the Benedictine nuns of the Martorana Monastery in Palermo prepared these delicious sweets trying to imitate the real one to perfection and embellished the monastery garden with them in winter while waiting for the visit of King Charles V.
Our martorana fruit is made from rigorously selected almond paste of the thunder variety on which hand-coloring is subsequently done.
Ingredients: almond, water, powdered sugar, arabic gum, glucose, cornstarch, natural flavors.
Today the Martorana, is recognized as a traditional Sicilian food product, adorning the windows of all Sicilian pastry shops, where we can admire what are truly small works of 'art born from the imagination and skill of our pastry chefs.
Prepared with genuine ingredients such as Almond and Honey and Vanilla still today it is a dessert loved by adults and children alike.
