Anejo Don Julio tequila is the child of a tradition handed down over time and the craftsmanship that marks much of the production process overseen directly by master distiller Don Julio, who selects only the best Blue Agave plants grown in the land of Jalisco. Following a double distillation, it is aged for 18 months in American white oak barrels, a testament to knowing how to create a superior tequila.
Light amber in color, it expresses itself on the nose with a rich, typical and complex bouquet, surprising us with the prefect balance that subsists between the herbaceous nuances of agave, along with those of wood and vanilla. The taste shows itself in all its impeccable smoothness, offering intense savory sensations of cooked agave and honey, wrapped in an alcoholic embrace that warms the palate. Long finish that slowly fades to smoky and dark chocolate notes.
Guaranteed to thrill when drunk neat, it is also exalted in an "on the rocks" version.
