Processed and aged in the famous area of Jalisco, Mexico, Jose Cuervo's Reserva De La Familia embodies the spirit of a family and its tradition, which began back in 1795 and has been passed down from generation to generation to this day. Each bottle is numbered, dated and sealed with lacquer wax still following the historical steps of Cuervo's first Master Distiller. Designed to celebrate the family's 200th anniversary, this Tequila comes from pure blue agave distillate, made from perfectly ripe plants between 7 and 12 years old, then aged in new barrels of both French and American oak for a minimum of three years. A masterful example of the Mexican art, always in tireless pursuit of the standard of excellence.
A very intense amber color, it expresses on the nose distinct aromas of vanilla, star anise and cinnamon, along with toasted hints of tobacco and hazelnut, coffee beans and typical vegetable puffs. The taste is enveloping, powerful and warm, well-defined in the sweetness of dates and peaches in syrup and justly fresh in the hints of orange peel, with a sweet caramel finish that leaves a long persistence of woody notes.
