LIETO FINE.
Gallura and Vermentino, an absolute, indissoluble pair that tells all the magic of a great story through a unique Wine. Recounting this happy adventure is Sella & Mosca with its Monteoro, a pure Vermentino that grows along the hilly strip of the southern slope of Mount Libera, where the soils are composed of granitic disintegration, the climate is hot but refreshed but strong temperature ranges, especially in summer. The grapes are softly crushed followed by light cold maceration. The resulting white wine rests on the lees, in steel, for at least 4 months, giving an extraordinary expressiveness and a truly magical flavor.

Very bright straw yellow in color, it gives persuasive aromas of white-fleshed fruit, banana and melon, then orange blossom and a hint of field grasses, wild berries and a memory of Mediterranean scrub and herbs. Taste with a soft and enveloping flavor entry, bright in lively freshness and three-dimensional in marine notes, deeply savory, powerful but never exasperated. Mediterranean character to the core, as demonstrated by the very long persistence.

A wine that calls, by definition, for seafood dishes, it is particularly good with shellfish and crustaceans.

The Winery

Sella & Mosca Wines
In Alghero, more than a century ago, two Piedmontese, engineer Sella and lawyer Mosca, turning their gaze to the Mediterranean scrubland extended as far as the eye could see lashed by the winds of the deep, crystal clear sea, fell in love with it and created Sella&Mosca. The beginning was not easy, the land had to be reclaimed, and in 1899 the decades of work began to uproot the impenetrable rock from the soils and give them new life. At the center of the estate stood the site for grafting the rootstocks, the cellars, the village with the workers' houses, the school and the small church. Sardinian viticulture is research, innovation, preservation of the environment and biodiversity, ancient wisdom that is constantly handed down through passion and care of the land. The Alghero estate is immense, an unmistakable encounter of history and nature. Monteluce Alghero Bianco Passito from Nasco, a native grape variety, imprisons the summer sun and gives unparalleled aromatic intensity. Terre bianche Cuveè 161 Alghero Torbato, Terre bianche Alghero Torbato still and sparkling, fruity aromas, pleasant freshness, unique minerality. Anghelu Ruja fortified Riserva, ample, rich, velvety. Tanca Farrà Alghero red Riserva, Marchese di Villamarina Cabernet Riserva, Vittorio 90 Rosso, exuberant red fruit, warm, persuasive, spicy, with hints of Mediterranean scrub and elegant tannins. Cannonau di Sardegna and Cannonau Riserva, floral, warm, Mediterranean in the richness of aromatic herbs, surprising finesse. Berchiddeddu, Vermentino di Gallura born from granite and Mediterranean scrub, berries accumulate aromas and ensure maximum varietal expression. Giba, Carignano del Sulcis, intriguing, warm, soft, persistent, mineral, as old as sand and sea. In the land of Sardinia history and nature merge in an embrace that lasts forever, the wines have unmistakable quality nourished by the sun and the directness matured by the poetry of the sea and the land.
